During these uncertain times, we need ideas to improve and maintain our health. Don't worry, we're here to help! Check out this list of healthy activities you can do while you self-quarantine. You will come out of this pandemic even better than you were before it.
Yoga + Stretch
In addition to exercising, yoga and stretching are great health practices in quarantine. With improved flexibility, you are less likely to have body aches and more likely to train better.
Learn to Meditate
Meditation is the best way to combat anxiety and depression. If you practice mindfulness, you will be more resilient to stress when you go back to life after quarantine.
Read
Find an inspiring or motivating book during quarantine. Reading is known to expand your vocabulary, comprehension and overall knowledge. Who doesn't want that?!
Talk to Loved Ones
With more free time on our hands, this is the best time to reach out to friends and family. Although we cannot see them in person, we are privileged to live in a world where they are just a facetime away.
Organize and Separate Your Workspace
With WFH, it's encouraged to set up a nice work area. This will improve productivity, creativity, and overall workflow. This will also make your life feel semi-normal.
Write
One of the most therapeutic activities you could do during this pandemic is write. Open up a journal and layout your thoughts. When you can visually see your thoughts, you are more likely to get some clarity.
Learn to Cook
This is the perfect opportunity to domesticate yourself. Find some cool recipes from the internet and take a stab at it. The more you practice, the more you will enjoy it in the long run.
Find New Music
Before quartine, most of us are too busy to find new music. Well, now is the time to go deep into the depths of Spotify and Soundcloud to find great tunes. New music is a great way to relieve stress as well.
Donate
Do you have a bunch of clothes you haven't worn in over a year? Clean out your room by donating clothes and other belongings to charity. There are other people out there who need these things more than ever. Cleaning out your room is also a good way to cleanse the mind, a win-win.
Start a Passion Project
Lastly, I encourage all of you to take on that passion project you've been holding off on. This is the opportunity to gain new skills and follow your dreams.
