Night Nation Run has put together a unique festival experience that they've brought to Irvine, Sacramento, Pomona and Pittsburgh. Now, they are set to take their 5K race meets electronic music festival to the Minneapolis area on October 15th.

Stand Up 2 Cancer has partnered with Night Nation Run for the "world's first running music festival." So far they have had successful events in several areas, and they aren't looking to stop their charitable cause any time soon.

These events operate as 5k marathons, with Djs playing during the run. Afterwards, performers continue to allow everyone the opportunity to let loose if they still have enough energy for the dance floor. Stages will also operate as water stations for those running in the event.

Although the lineup has not been announced for the show at Canterbury Park Grounds in Shakopee - just outside of Minneapolis - the promise of a special celebrity guest DJ has been put forth. Aside from the lineup and run on the illuminated course, there will be giveaways during the festivities.

For those looking to register, you can do so for $30 until midnight tonight. After that, the price will increase to $60. Included with registration is a package involving an event T-shirt, a race bib, glow necklace, giveaway entrees, and after party admission. Registration and event information can be found at the Night Nation Run website.
