The X Games used to attract viewers solely for their extreme sports competitions, but event organizers now regularly enlist popular music acts to turn the event into a live music spectacle. With artists such as Kanye West, Tiesto, Pretty Lights, Dillon Francis, and Axwell performing at previous X Games, the event's pedigree of live performers continues to raise the bar. For the upcoming Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado from January 23-25, Skrillex and Chromeo will headline the bill, along with hip-hop stars Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa.
