This week for Artists Doing Good, we want to shine a light on GRiZ. For years this producer has made significant philanthropic contributions to non-profits. Whether it be through his annual 12 Days of GRiZMAS, an event series which aids public schools in the Detroit area, to his recent campaign with MeUndies in which proceeds went to support the Happy Hippie Foundation; the man knows how to use his platform for good.
His latest venture involved DrLupo and a game of Fortnite. He teamed up with one of the world's top Fornite players to host a four-hour game on Twitch in partnership with the live stream fundraising platform Tiltify. The duo, along with donors, raised over $18,000 for The Trevor Project, the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people.
With both hosts massive following, they were able to bring in an impressive 280,000 viewers to join in on the four-hour game session. During the streaming, donors were incentivized with enticing raffle prizes and artist merchandise.
