Bassnectar's newest project is aiming to give food to kids in Flint, Michigan. His 3-day Halloween event, Freakstyle, will host a food drive, feeding kids up to 35,000 meals.
Taking place on October 31st - November 2nd, the Flint Brain Food Drive has Bassnectar's nonprofit organizations Be Interactive and Conscious Alliance reaching out to fans to help out at the drive.
“Our goal is to collect 5,000 meals at Freakstyle — double what we usually collect at a Bassnectar event." - Justin Levy, Executive Director of Conscious Alliance.
All proceeds will go to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan in Flint. As an incentive for donating to the food drive, fans will receive a limited edition Freestyle 2019 lunchbox.
