Coachella 2019: The Greatest Moments From the Music Utopia

Coachella has manifested into a lifestyle event for all kinds. Around 300,000 festival goers flock to the annual music extravaganza, cultivating a brand that appeals to the masses. With eclectic performers, dynamic art, unique activities and heavenly cuisine, this is always the must-see event of the year.

This year, the back-to-back weekend had French producer takeovers, a 90's reunion, triumphant comebacks, and many more surprises. Here are the moments that people will be talking about long after the festival ends.

Gesaffelstein: French Jesus

When Gessafelstein returns after a 3-year hiatus, you bet he's going to come back with some next level production. The French producer wowed the Outdoor Stage with his unrecognizable silver ensemble, mesmerizing light show, and haunting sounds.

Ariana Grande Reunites *Nsync (kinda)

Ariana Grande closed out the Coachella mainstage with surprise guests that made every 90's kid squeal like a schoolgirl. While Beyonce brought back Destiny's Child last year, Grande reunited *Nsync. Well, four of them. The pop princess brought everyone but the main leader of the pack, Justin Timberlake. Where was he? We don't know but it definitely changed the energy of the "reunion". The group played "Tearing Up My Heart" and then exited the stage. Grande brought out Diddy and Nicki Minaj as special guests as well.

Polo & Pan: The Iconic French Duo

The dynamic duo brought a unique flavor to the Coachella mix that no one expected. At the Mojave Stage at 5 PM, the pair moved the crowd with a breath of funky and fresh air. Their sounds were bright, vibrant and stole everyone's' hearts.

Tame Impala: The Underdog

As most know, indie-alternative artist Tame Impala wasn't supposed to headline Coachella. In fact, Justin Timberlake was originally supposed to take the headlining title. Due to scheduling issues, Timberlake backed out, allowing Tame Impala to take the baton. Tame Impala, also known as Kevin Parker, had not played Coachella since 2015, let alone released new music. Needless to say, Parker made the comeback of the year, giving an ethereal performance along with new tunes. Welcome back.

Billie Lateish

The highly anticipated act of the weekend, Billie Eilish, was fashionably late by 30 minutes. Unfortunately, there were technical difficulties at the Outdoor Stage that forced her to come out a little after 10 PM. It's safe to say it was worth the wait. the 17-year-old brought her creepy and hypnotizing energy to the desert stage. She shook the crowd to their core.
