We recently got the opportunity to join Ocean Conservancy in their annual beach cleanup in Santa Monica! Ocean Conservancy is part of our Greater Good Fund and it is their mission to create science-based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.
We were surprised to find an abundance of trash such as glass bottles, straws, lighters and even a baby pacifier, hiding amongst the sandy beach! It was so rewarding to be a part of this event and help keep our ocean clean and our ocean wildlife safe. Next time you are at the beach, pick up a piece of trash lying around and it could make a tremendous difference.
