1. First and foremost, how have you been doing throughout the pandemic?
I’ve been like almost everyone else I know, learning a lot about myself and what really is important because when everything is stripped away and you’re left with yourself it can be really humbling. I’ve found a lot of meaning in being out in nature, pursuing what makes me really happy and finding creative outlets outside of music. But I also have been spending a LOT of time writing! Even over zoom, I’m so thankful to have been able to make some really incredible music over the last year and a half.

2. What’s the one thing that’s been keeping you sane during lockdown?
It feels kind of boring, but routine! Without the structure of sessions and life, I felt myself really slipping into bad habits at the start of lockdown, so I made sure to make things to look forward to and keep me on track. Lots of walks with my pup, stretching every day, zoom sessions and keeping goal oriented. It hasn’t been an easy year, but I do feel like I learned a lot about myself and grew as a person.

3. Where did you get your start in music? What were your aspirations as a kid?
I was always drawn to music and in particular creating it, even at 4 or 5 I would write entire songs and perform them for my family - about humpback whales and snakes haha.

I was part of the music group in my church growing up, and even joined some traveling choirs but I never thought about it as a ‘job’ until highschool when I started writing my own songs about love and my feelings. Once I found my voice and meaning in it, there was never really any other option for me, I just kept working towards making it into a job that would eventually support me.

4. How did you come up with the name RUNN?
It’s a secret! But I will tell that story one day, and I promise it’s very punny :P

5. We saw you had a song with Nitti Gritti come out early this year, and more recently a new track with Kai Wachi. Who’s another artist you’d love to work with?
I’ve been so insanely lucky to work with so many of my dream artists already! I would love to get the opportunity to collab with some of the insanely talented women in the industry like REZZ or Alison Wonderland, and also who hasn’t daydreamed of an epic sad collab like Said The Sky and San Holo?

6. Do you have any other new music in the works? Any features you can give us a sneak peak of?
I have been working on some really special songs lately, and I’m particularly excited about my solo material that's pretty poppy! I’m hoping to have my next single out ASAP!

I’ve also got tons of exciting collabs with new and old friends that I hope everyone will really love!

7. Do you have any shows or festivals coming up?
I got to surprise the Brownies and Lemonade festival at Lake Havasu last week with Blanke, and that felt SO good to be on stage again and surrounded by beautiful souls to sing a few songs! Hopefully I’ll be dropping in on a few more friend’s sets throughout this year!
