Ultra Says Goodbye to Their Home of 20 Years

After much thought and consideration, Ultra has announced they will be relocating their iconic festival in 2020. They are seeking a new home in South Florida, ending their ties with Miami after two decades.

The amicable decision came from the overwhelmingly negative feedback from their location at The Virginia Key in March. Due to lack of transportation, day one of the festival turned out disastrous when hundreds of attendees had to walk 5 miles to exit the venue. During the festival, the inconvenient layout forced festival goers to walk a mile to certain stages as well.

"After listening to feedback from many of you, it is clear that the festival experience in Virginia Key was simply not good enough," the statement reads. "This is Ultra Music Festival, after all, and our attendees expect us to deliver on our commitment to excellence. Being committed to excellence not only means constantly striving to become better, it also means being willing to change things when they are not working." - Ultra

As this news is sad to many, Ultra has reassured the public that the new location will be "unique, accessible and have breathtaking views". Their official statement promises they will share more details and dates on the location very soon.

Where do you think Ultra 2020 will be?
